Update: I am going to the Middle East

Update: I am moving…again.

If you know me then you know I don’t stay in one place too long. Honestly, it has been incredibly difficult to stay in Gainesville for as long as I have. It has only been three months. After I came back from the race I knew that I would continue doing missions if the Lord placed it before me. I went to Greece for two months in March and knew in my heart I was at peace doing missions overseas long term. I wanted to stay in Greece. I was the last person to get on the tiny plane, standing on the tarmac looking up at the sky for a sign from the Lord. Then I cried on the plane the entire hour and a half.

I fell in love with the people I met in camp. The culture, their happiness and joy. Their willingness to hear about my culture and my beliefs. I knew that if I had the chance to go back, I would. I knew I wanted to go to the countries that my friends were from. I wanted to go to Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria and many more places. The Lord wanted me to wait and he wanted me to be in the space I am now for healing and ultimately to find security in Him.

In a couple months I will be leaving. I am currently hoping to go back to Lesvos in November to work with refugees again. Then come late January I will be heading to the Middle East with FAI or Frontier Alliance International. I have been accepted into FAI’s Emmaus School of Ministry, which is a three months immersion into ministry in the Middle East, North Africa and the Mediterranean Basin. I will be learning from the organizations leadership about exposure, apprenticeship through mentoring and immersion in the Middle East. I will be serving in hands-on ministry with 14 other individuals who have been accepted. My hope is to serve long term and this opportunity and program will help to familiarize myself in the culture and countries I want to serve in.

I would love to answer questions and talk with you about this program. I would also love and need prayer. Please continue praying for me as I prepare for the mission field again. Please be praying for my family to have peace while I am gone. Please pray for wisdom as I walk into a completely different culture and for guidance in this season.

I would also love for you to prayerfully consider donating towards my trip. I currently have a great job that I am blessed to have. I will be working for a couple more months to help fund for this school. Other than my airfare, all funds are to be handed in at time of arrival which is in late January.

Breakdown of costs needed:

Total: $7,500

Airfare to and from: $1,500

Tuition for Emmaus School of Ministry: $1,000

Three months room and board, ground expenses and travel: $4,700

Personal Expenses (toiletries, expenses to buy things for ministry, etc.): $300

You can either make a tax deductible donation to my cga account: ashleighkincade.adventurescga.org (still raising money for that too!) or through paypal/venmo [email protected].
