salaam alaykum!
“peace be unto you”
hello friends, i thank you greatly for even clicking on this little blog update:) we are spending one more week in cyprus and then heading to our next location. many flights, a few buses, a layover in athens ( my heart is happy about that) and then finally arriving somewhere in the middle east. i have to keep that info under wraps right now. for now i wanted to share the many blessings of cyprus and the time spent here. the pictures below are precious people and memories in my life. thanks for your love.
The many plants that surround our home. This plant, along with many other flowers, fills the walkway up to my house. What a beautiful blessing each day. My prayer request is for the Lord to keep showing me beautiful things in hard places.
The other night we played the card games Spoons and Phase 10. We came up with the fun idea to grab the spoons with our feet instead of our hands to make it more challenging. It just made the night more hilarious. My prayer request is for my teammates and leaders as we get ready to travel next week.
These are my two nephews! Yes, TWO! I cannot wait to meet that little guy in May and finally get to hold my cutie nephew babes. My prayer request is for my sister. I pray she gets rest and peace during these weeks at home with my nephew.
It’s been a really hard week. Letting go and praying for peace and truth. This reminder in a book I am reading opened my heart to His faithfulness. I pray that I can seek Him in the hard seasons.
This is Bilal. He has become a good friend and provider of $.50 bread almost every day. Every time he is out making a delivery and we’re out walking, he honks his horn and waves at us. He has become a good friend and my prayer request is for more people to come and speak into his life.
These girls are my roommates and they have been such a blessing. We have spent many hours at our kitchen table, drinking coffee, talking about our lives and dancing on our balcony. My prayer request is for our next stages and plans. For our next weeks together and for more moments to love one another.
Luckily in the last six weeks we have had many moments, birthdays and life celebrations. This has allowed for the time and space to bake and spend time seeking rest from the Lord.
We are blessed with one coffee shop within walking distance from our home.
The time I have spent here has been for perpetration and connection with my team. I have been seeking wisdom for my next plans and have been able to talk things out over a cup of chai. My prayer request would be for my next plans and for guidance. Prayer for open doors and clarity on where I will be moving and living.
We are starting phase two next week. We will be traveling around the current country with leaders who have been here for years. After next week we are traveling to our next country for the opportunity to be exposed to the culture and region. My prayer request is for safety and for wise knowledge in our time traveling. My prayer request is also for funding. Our first flight is looking to be around $300 dollars and I need to have that by next week. If you would like to get involved in what I’m doing in the Middle East I would be greatly blessed.
